Location:
To maximize the velocity of product engineering, the company is hiring engineers based in NYC and the tri-state area only. The office is located in the heart of Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood, a hub of vibrant creative energy.

First Few Months:

  • Week 1:
    • Onboarding with a dedicated buddy on Day 1
    • Setting up your local environment and passing end-to-end tests by Day 2
    • Merging your first story by the end of the week after passing automated checks and peer review
    • Starting 1x1s with your manager
  • Month 1:
    • Shipping a feature to production
    • Contributing to planning, retrospectives, and code reviews
    • Writing your first design document for a major feature
  • Month 2:
    • Delivering your first dev talk
    • Establishing your development goals with your manager

Role Overview:
As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be a critical part of the team responsible for client-facing features. You will work closely with Product and User Experience teams to shape, design, deliver, and run features that differentiate the product for clients. The role demands the ability to work in a cross-functional team, meet velocity needs, and take ownership of outcomes across the technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build product features end-to-end, from web UI to services back end.
  • Help shape the engineering culture of the company.
  • Influence early technology and implementation choices.
  • Evaluate and integrate critical third-party software and infrastructure, including payments and mobility stacks.
  • Challenge the team to automate, improve processes, simplify, and raise the bar for quality.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6+ years of experience working with first-class engineering teams, with a proven track record of delivering quality software to production.
  • Experience with server-side programming, various databases, messaging, REST, and APIs.
  • Proficiency in modern web development, including JavaScript/TypeScript, component libraries, and frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Next.js).
  • Experience working in cross-functional agile teams, collaborating with product and design.
  • Hands-on knowledge of developing applications in the cloud (preferably AWS).
  • A pragmatic approach and the ability to get things done.
  • A passion for building amazing products for customers.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, dynamic environment alongside high-energy, mission-driven colleagues.
