The Measurement Calculation team is responsible for delivering precise brand-focused metrics, measurement methodologies, and systems to our clients and Client Service team (CS) to facilitate informed audience targeting.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, constructing, and maintaining robust data pipelines that are fundamental to our client's business operations. Working alongside dedicated professionals, you will contribute to the development and support of complex calculations and algorithms essential for both linear and streaming TV platforms. Your focus will be on crafting scalable and efficient solutions to empower data-driven insights and drive success in the dynamic TV advertising landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, managing, and optimizing data infrastructure, including data pipelines, to ensure reliability and scalability of data systems.
- Developing and maintaining robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver data from various sources to data storage and analytical systems.
- Designing and implementing data models and database schemas that support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
- Building and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to extract data, transform it into suitable formats, and load it into data storage systems.
- Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and database systems, optimizing queries, indexes, and data storage configurations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to understand data requirements and provide necessary infrastructure and tools.
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior data engineers.
- Implementing monitoring systems to ensure availability and reliability of data systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and building data pipelines & distributed systems at scale.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL data stores, methods, and approaches (STAR, Dimensional Modeling).
- 2+ years of experience with modern data stack technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Airflow, lakehouse architectures, real-time databases, dbt) and cloud data warehouses such as RedShift, Snowflake.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS and expertise in cloud-based services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, or SQL. Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking to troubleshoot data-related issues and optimize systems.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience in mentoring junior data engineers and leading data engineering initiatives.
