In this role, you'll join the Core Services team responsible for operating critical high throughput services that power communities worldwide. The team operates core datastores and critical services, focusing on optimizing performance and scalability. Recent projects include building distributed, multi-tiered caching solutions and deploying essential infrastructure components like Kafka and Kubernetes native tools.

The Impact You’ll Make

As a member of this team, you’ll work in a large-scale distributed system environment, identifying opportunities to enhance performance, scalability, and resilience. You'll collaborate closely with product engineers to streamline operations and improve system efficiency. Your primary focus will be on enhancing a globally replicated graph store with high availability tiered caching, aiming to enable rapid development without compromising on performance or scalability.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • 5+ years of experience in high-performance distributed systems engineering, with a focus on scaling databases and caches to support rapid growth.
  • Expertise in operating or building distributed datastores, deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, and proficiency in languages like Golang, Rust, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in solving complex problems in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Istio, and other container orchestration tools is advantageous.

Rewards

Compensation for this role is competitive, with a starting salary expected in the range of $210,000 - $265,000 annually, potentially higher based on qualifications. The role also includes a significant equity grant with quarterly vesting and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision coverage, and more.
