About the Role:
As a Senior Associate, Software Engineer, you will:
- Design and deploy ETL and ELT flows to integrate disparate third-party data sources.
- Develop tools to monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality and performance issues.
- Build and maintain data and computing infrastructure that supports the development of valuable products for the firm's investment process.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of software engineering practices.
Qualifications:
- B.S. and/or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data and/or backend engineering with a strong track record in designing and implementing data infrastructure solutions.
- Proficient in Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience with RESTful API design, especially with Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Highly skilled in SQL and familiar with multiple database types.
- Experience with modern cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and related services like BigQuery, Elastic, and Snowflake.
- Knowledge of Big Data processing (Spark or PySpark) and infrastructure management using Docker.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
Tech Stack:
- Frontend: React with Hooks, Material UI
- Backend: Python, FastAPI
- Tooling: Google Cloud Platform
- Data: Prefect, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Elastic Search, Spark, dbt
