Our client, a leading global asset management firm, is seeking a Lead Data Engineer with a strong background in data onboarding, quality best practices, and team leadership. This role involves hands-on development, stakeholder management, and the design of data processes and architecture to optimize operations and drive automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to facilitate data consumption and automation.
  • Orchestrate, monitor, and optimize ETL processes.
  • Proactively enhance data infrastructure and processes with best practices and latest technologies.
  • Define standard procedures and requirements for data warehousing.
  • Lead and mentor data engineers.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of data engineering experience with a focus on modern SDLC processes.
  • Experience in building and designing solutions for data warehouses.
  • Expertise in complex data environments and associated technology and analytics infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake and Python.
  • Strong capabilities with Git and establishing/maturing Data Engineering ‘best practices’.
  • Excellent technical communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a fast learner.
  • Experience with Vector Stores, DevOps/CI/CD tooling, AWS services, and traditional database platforms would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with financial data, such as market data and trade/positions data.

Salary Range:

$225,000 - $275,000 annually

*Salary is determined by experience, skills, qualifications, and job location.
