About the Role

We're seeking an innovative and hands-on VP of Software Engineering to spearhead our team of product development engineers and lead the advancement of cutting-edge IT Operations software products. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our technology strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and innovation, all while nurturing a collaborative and high-performance culture within our organization.

Responsibilities:

Leadership:

• Build, lead, and inspire a globally distributed team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Mentor managers and team leads to enhance leadership capabilities and drive overall team quality and productivity.
• Actively participate in our leadership team, collaborating with other key stakeholders to drive organizational success.

Software Development:

• Utilize your expertise to guide the development of large-scale software applications, emphasizing quality as a core aspect of your work.
• Lead the entire software development lifecycle, from technical strategy to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Roll up your sleeves and engage in coding to contribute directly to the development process.

Product Development:

• Oversee product development efforts, driving velocity in execution and advocating for modern, agile development practices.
• Collaborate across teams to define and deliver new products, features, and enhancements based on customer feedback and market research.

Technical Leadership:

• Implement robust testing and quality assurance processes to ensure software reliability and performance.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and experimentation.

About You

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• 15+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles within the B2B SaaS industry, with a strong background in software development and management.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and scalable systems.
• Proven track record of hiring and building cohesive, high-performing engineering teams.
• Technical proficiency in enterprise software, firmware, operating systems, and applications.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, technical environment.

Additional Information

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Starting pay depends on various factors, including location, experience, and skills. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO. Salary range for California-based roles is $200,000 to $350,000 per year.
