About the Role

You’ll be one of the founding engineer hires and will play a significant role in building the core product and shaping the engineering team:

• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and the business to create user-friendly frontend features.
• Produce quality software that is shipped incrementally and continually at a high velocity.
• Have a lot of clear ownership over various parts of the product.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, PMs, and fellow engineers to plan features to help bring a high-quality product to market.
• Interact with early customers and support them in being successful with the new product.
• Provide thoughtful feedback to your peers, and benefit from strong mentorship yourself.

About the Opportunity

Our company builds in-app purchase stores and marketplaces for companies to embed in their products so their users can benefit from extensibility options from the community. In-app purchases are currently only possible on mobile through the Apple App Store / Google Play Store, which are limiting as they are designed for products built internally by the company. We build our stores to be embedded across platforms and our marketplaces support community-created items. Our customers can have their own app stores for addons, templates, integrations, extensions, or whatever fits their products. Imagine if Spotify had an app store, you could install a karaoke plugin, or if Airbnb had an app store, you could add a group booking feature. Our vision is to make every product an open platform. We are creating the necessary infrastructure and tools for companies to open up their product for extensibility. Requirements

You’ll be successful in this role if you have…

• 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Experience with systems operating at a significant technical and organizational scale.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in building complex, distributed services for the web.
• Experience with React and Typescript.
