The Opportunity

Our Client Platform team is in search of a Senior Frontend Engineer to spearhead development efforts on our new web architecture and performance tracks. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to influence the construction and delivery of our current and future products to our extensive customer base. Your contributions will have an immediate impact on our vast user community, playing a crucial role in our ambitious goal of connecting 100 million developers. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with leaders and engineers to design solutions, identify opportunities for enhancing our web platform, and shape the roadmap and strategy alongside other senior engineers and leaders within Client Platform. Additionally, you will serve as an internal advocate for technological advancement, driving continuous improvement in web development practices.

About the Team

Our Client Platform team is a globally distributed engineering unit tasked with establishing a standardized framework for all team members to develop and deploy web-based applications seamlessly. We serve as the backbone for hundreds of engineers at our company, facilitating the delivery of new features and enhancements to our expansive user base. Our responsibilities encompass a spectrum ranging from managing build tooling and shared libraries to overseeing development infrastructure, promoting best practices, and maintaining our cross-platform desktop application.

Your Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in Frontend software engineering.
  • Profound comprehension of modern web practices and associated technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in driving technical projects forward.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in mentoring and nurturing the growth of fellow engineers.
  • Bonus: Involvement in performance initiatives and familiarity with techniques and tools for building fast and responsive web applications.

What Else?

If this role is based in the greater San Francisco area, the estimated salary ranges from $216,750 to $255,451, in addition to a competitive equity package. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. We adhere to a pay-for-performance philosophy and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, and a monthly lunch stipend. Salaries may vary outside of the listed metropolitan areas and outside the U.S.
