What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Senior Data Engineer with a passion for optimizing and embedding analytics. Your goal will be to cultivate a data-informed culture and create insights that will be leveraged across the entire organization. You should have experience executing at a high level, solving complex problems, and delivering solutions with real business impact.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in data architecture, database design, and data modeling. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain our data infrastructure while also creating dashboards and reporting insights to various stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the liaison between technology and the rest of the business to ensure data strategy aligns with business needs.
  • Institute processes to ensure data from various sources meets quality standards, is curated, and enhanced for analytical use, driving towards a "single source of truth."
  • Define an enterprise blueprint for managing data as an asset and utility, unified data formats, and strategy to continuously streamline the data landscape with end users in mind.
  • Build a deep understanding of the business and develop executive and operational dashboards using Quicksight to track KPIs and visually expose trends.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to create analytic solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Implement and maintain data security and privacy measures.
  • Develop metrics to accurately measure business performance and enable decision-making with real-world data.
  • Present key findings from projects in a concise and structured manner to enable effective decision-making, distinguishing between what management needs to know and what is nice to know.

What this role requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong experience with AWS Glue, AWS Quicksight, and Redshift.
  • Robust knowledge of data architecture, database design, and data modeling.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of databases is a must.
  • Highly proficient with Python, JAVA, SQL, and ETL processes.
  • Ability to work independently and operate effectively in a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $150,000 and is determined by various factors including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skills.
