About the Role

Our client is currently seeking a Mid-Market Sales Engineer to join their expanding Sales Engineering team. As a Mid-Market Sales Engineer, you will serve as the technical liaison for customers, crafting compelling business propositions to address their email security challenges effectively.

Collaborating closely with Mid-Market Account Executives, you will conduct product demonstrations, elucidate the technical advantages of our client's solutions, and ensure successful outcomes for Proof of Value programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical aspects of the pre-sales process, including managing proofs-of-value (POV) outcomes, partnering with Mid-Market Account Executives, and delivering technical demonstrations.
  • Offer technical pre-sales assistance to Mid-Market Account Executives.
  • Support the development and execution of sales objectives and account-based penetration strategies.
  • Conduct thorough technical and competitive landscape research to address customer inquiries effectively.
  • Act as a technical advisor for pre-sales security evaluations and platform assessments.
  • Educate sales teams and partners on the features and security aspects of our client's products and platform.
  • Prioritize ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Requirements

Essential:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering or relevant industry roles.
  • Excellent technical presentation and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to comprehend business challenges, devise tailored solutions, and articulate them effectively.
  • Capacity to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive demeanor, customer-centric approach, and a strong sense of accountability for customer outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or other pertinent security credentials are advantageous.
  • Background in messaging and Internet security principles.
  • Proficient understanding of Internet protocols (e.g., HTTP, SMTP, DNS) and networking principles.
  • Knowledge of networking topology, TCP/IP protocol, and network configuration.

Note: Compensation packages are individually tailored and include bonuses, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits. The base salary range for this position is $113,100 to $133,000 USD.
