Position Summary

Our client is on a mission to transform the financial system to better serve everyday people. They are looking for passionate and resourceful engineers to join their backend teams. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact through technical contributions and reshape how people manage their finances. The team includes experienced engineers from leading tech companies. The base salary range for this full-time position is $310,500 - $379,500 plus equity and benefits. This hybrid role requires in-office work 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to achieve the mission of creating a financial system that benefits everyday people.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance business metrics and develop new features.
  • Develop and execute an architecture improvement roadmap, driving its implementation across the company.
  • Lead large-scale system redesign initiatives to advance the platform's future.
  • Establish and promote best practices throughout the organization.
  • Recruit exceptional engineers and support recruitment efforts for other teams.
  • Mentor and coach engineers at various levels, enabling them to excel in their roles.
  • Provide technical leadership and manage cross-functional relationships to deliver high-quality products.
  • Contribute to company-wide engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of development experience in a dynamic environment, with proven success in building and scaling architecture teams and programs.
  • Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Significant contributions to large feature releases with a broad organizational impact.
  • Expertise in modern software development and architecture practices, including full-stack web development, microservices, and data engineering.
  • Experience designing and implementing long-term successful systems and frameworks.
  • Recognized as an expert in multiple domains with high-quality project contributions.
  • Ability to mentor senior or staff-level engineers and ensure effective architectural direction.
  • Experience participating in recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and closing offers for managers.
