About the Role: Our client is seeking an Engineering Manager, Developer Productivity to join their team remotely. This role plays a pivotal part in driving initiatives to streamline development processes, reducing time and effort while maintaining high-quality standards. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing a diverse, agile team focused on enhancing developer productivity for our client's platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse, remote-first, agile team to support iterative and incremental shipping.
  • Prioritize initiatives to reduce overall development cycle time, leveraging quantitative and qualitative metrics to identify and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Ensure the team is equipped for success by staffing appropriately and facilitating growth and development opportunities.
  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers in Product and Design to set goals and define objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role and 5 years as a Technical individual contributor.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and a willingness to work closely with the team.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working autonomously.
  • Extensive experience with software development best practices and system design.
  • Familiarity with tools and frameworks supporting development workflows, testing frameworks, and continuous integration and deployment.
  • Strong empathy and advocacy for improving developer experience.
