Position Summary
We are looking for a data architect/Snowflake expert to help implement and coordinate the data and reporting roadmap for our client's Investment Solutions (fund of funds) segment.
Investment Solutions is a critical segment poised for significant growth in the future. This position will support that growth by providing architectural and technical leadership to envision and design modernized data platforms and practices within the segment. You will also work hands-on with other data practitioners, developers, and stakeholders to deliver on those designs as well as the implementation and integration of various business systems throughout the segment. You will work with peers throughout the enterprise to write, monitor, and enforce standards and policies for data management and technical delivery.
The primary focus in the near term will be to enhance and streamline our new Snowflake data warehouse and surrounding ecosystem including SnapLogic for data engineering, and Sigma and PowerBI for reporting. Responsibilities also include maintenance of our legacy MSSQL warehouse as we work to migrate all its functions into Snowflake and ultimately sunset that platform. You will also play a role in selecting and implementing other data-related tools including data catalog, MDM, lineage, and quality to round out a complete data platform. The ideal candidate will be able to view and contribute to each of these efforts as both an architect and hands-on implementer.
This role will also work closely with the domain architect to plan and oversee work done by teams of contractors and implementation partners on other systems used by Investment Solutions including Appian for Workflow and BPM efforts. Candidates should be comfortable working using agile management methodologies involving multiple stakeholders.
