Where You'll Come In

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our platform engineering team. The team is responsible for bridging the gap between IT Operations and Software Engineering, supporting our product teams (pawds). As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining our software infrastructure, tools, and services, which are utilized by our technical teams in a self-service manner. Your role will involve collaborating closely with Software Engineers to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance their development and deployment processes.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of infrastructure, tools, and services.
  • Review and provide feedback on code from other team members.
  • Respond to and resolve platform-related bugs and incidents.
  • Support product engineers in utilizing the platform effectively.
  • Participate in on-call support for platform services and advocate best practices for operational and delivery excellence.

We're Excited About You Because

  • You have significant experience (5+ years) as a senior software engineer with a strong background in web operations or similar roles.
  • You are skilled in adopting and promoting DevOps and/or SRE principles.
  • You possess expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Docker.
  • You are proficient in at least one programming language and are willing to learn JavaScript if needed.
  • You have experience with relational databases and are open to learning PostgreSQL if needed.

Office Guidelines

Our office is open Monday through Friday, and we encourage team members to work in the office 2-3 days a week to foster collaboration and maintain our unique in-person culture. The office policy may be adjusted at the company’s discretion.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role is $190,000 - $210,000 USD annually, with a comprehensive package including base salary and equity. The range reflects market data for NYC; adjustments may apply for other locations.
