Our client, a leader in the field of precision cutting tools, is seeking a Senior Application Software Engineer, Embedded to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative products like handheld CNC routers and contribute to the development of cutting-edge hardware and software tools. The role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area with flexible in-office hours, focusing on writing tool application code, testing in a workshop environment, and refining tool performance.
The Job:
- Lead the development of on-tool application software for products like handheld CNC routers.
- Implement and enhance user interactions and application functionality using Qt, QML, and JavaScript.
- Develop robust design applications to support user creativity.
- Collaborate closely with vision, web, and on-tool engineers.
- Ensure the quality of your work through automated testing and collaboration with Embedded Systems, Quality Assurance, and Build Systems teams.
You might be a good fit if you:
- Have 5+ years of experience in frontend web development or Qt/QML.
- Possess strong skills in JavaScript and familiarity with C++, Boost, and other libraries.
- Have experience in embedded platform development.
- Excel in problem-solving and debugging.
- Are experienced in making architectural and technical decisions.
- Have worked with CI/CD systems like CircleCI.
- Are an effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
- Have a passion for user experience and continuous learning.
