Since our inception in 2019, we've been building a cash flow management platform that allows founders and small business owners to more easily manage their company’s financial health with a mix of accounts payable and flexible financing tools. About the Role Joining as an early Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and constructing impactful, results-driven systems, products, and features. With a solid product-market fit, organic growth, and a comprehensive long-term roadmap, you'll be part of a dynamic team driving our success.

We are seeking versatile full-stack Software Engineers who are eager to work on the front end and embody a product-focused mindset to elevate our business to new heights. The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, capable of designing enduring foundational systems, and adept at avoiding scope creep while delivering incremental value. We want someone who approaches tasks iteratively, moves with agility, and prioritizes the customer in their decision-making process.

What You'll Do

• Design and build data models, services, and APIs to power our web app.
• Scale and secure our systems to support an increasing number of users, features, business requirements, partners, and engineers.
• Ensure seamless communication and effective collaboration with Product and Design teams in developing customer/user-facing functionality for our app.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to build robust testing, integration, and deployment frameworks.
• Independently drive and architect projects to completion while effectively communicating ideas and progress to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in the B2B fintech and/or startup sector.
• Full-stack experience with a willingness to work on the front end. We use React and Node JS. Proficiency in CS fundamentals and Ruby on Rails (our primary backend language), along with mastery of OOP principles.
• Web-app architecture design. Curiosity or understanding of how everything fits together from web services up through display and a love for designing reliable and extensible systems.
• Adaptability to quickly jump into new problems, learn what’s needed, and solve them.
• Customer-centric mentality. You care about the user, strive to understand their needs, and build tools to solve their problems.
• Leadership skills. With rapid growth, we need and expect everyone to be a leader. You have the humility and self-awareness to navigate the unknown while holding yourself and others to a high bar. Additionally, you enjoy mentoring and fostering the development of fellow engineers.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or similar.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Postgres/SQL databases, GraphQL, GCP.

Compensation The annual starting salary range for Senior and Staff levels is $160,000 - $200,000 + equity + benefits. Compensation may exceed this range for exceptional, experienced candidates joining above the posted levels.
