About the Team:

We're seeking talented software engineers passionate about building consumer products to join a dynamic team that is redefining travel. Our APIs, internal services, and web applications are at the heart of our software ecosystem, driving the transformation of mobility. As part of a small, highly-skilled team of engineers and designers, you'll play a key role in crafting an app that is revolutionizing travel and car ownership.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate closely with product management, design, and fellow engineers.
• Produce, test, and review high-quality code, and lead its deployment.
• Ensure robust technical design and comprehensive documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve and scale architecture and application design.
• Drive key technical components forward with innovative approaches.
• Provide architectural input on product-related decisions.
• Develop tools and utilities to diagnose and resolve performance issues.
• Design, build, and iterate on features rapidly, adapting to changing environments where creativity is valued.

Your Profile:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Proficient in mobile-first development (Android, iPhone, or mobile websites).
• Proven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results.
• Experience in shipping scalable production code.
• Strong commitment to clean-code practices and effective testing.
• Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments.
• Ability to articulate complex technical issues to a diverse audience.
• Keen eye for design and usability, with your input valued by the team.
• Front-end expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, NextJS, and React.
• Experience across the stack (back-end, CI tools) is a plus.
• Previous start-up experience is a significant advantage.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in explaining technical concepts to non-engineers.
• Compensation:
  The base salary target range for this full-time position in Los Angeles, CA is $142,000-$177,000, along with equity and benefits. The specific salary within this range will depend on factors such as location, skills, experience, and education.
