About the Job

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our technology team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and automating secure, robust, and high-performing data platform solutions to drive business growth. Utilizing Python, Kotlin, Snowflake, DBT, and Kubernetes, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and developing data platform solutions.
• Automating data pipelines and workflows.
• Ensuring the security and robustness of data solutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional agile teams on critical applications.

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with a focus on data extraction, transformation, and object-oriented programming.
• Strong AWS knowledge and expertise in creating secure infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Experience in schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• Proficiency in Python packaging and deployment.
• Familiarity with Airflow/DAGs and data pipelines.
• Extensive experience with DBT and Snowflake for data warehousing, including complex SQL/ETL/ELT workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud-native applications and CI/CD environments.
• Strong understanding of multi-threading and concurrent programming.
• Flexibility with programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, and Python.
• Experience with Kafka or similar technologies.
• Proficiency with Terraform.

Highly Advantageous

• Experience with FiveTran.
• Knowledge of AI/ML.
• Skills in Typescript and React.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Experience as a software engineer building Java or Kotlin server-side applications.
• Expertise with Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Designing, building, and deploying REST APIs.
• Experience with Gradle/Maven build tools.
