Job Description:

As a Senior Data Scientist with our Innovation Data Science team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing our recommendation and ranking systems stack to support various business use cases:

  • Provide actionable insights to our clients, guiding them on their next steps and explaining the rationale behind them.
  • Identify crucial signals driving user behavior to optimize sales outcomes using advanced probability, statistics, predictive performance, and machine learning/reinforcement learning.
  • Architect and implement cutting-edge recommender systems to pinpoint high-intent companies and contacts, optimizing customer engagement and conversion rates.
  • Drive innovation by developing new AI solutions, enhancing existing models, and ensuring we stay ahead of industry trends. Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Collaborate closely with ML engineers to refine technical designs, review models, and ensure smooth productionization and deployment of data science solutions for scalability, reliability, and efficiency in real-world applications.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of MS with 5 years or PhD with 3 years in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience building personalized recommender systems, employing advanced techniques including deep learning-based models, sequential recommendation algorithms, reinforcement learning frameworks, and dynamic re-ranking.
  • Proficient in continuous model evaluation and adaptation based on real-world feedback to evolving user preferences and behavior patterns.
  • Data-Centric Mindset: Comfortable exploring data to guide decision-making processes. Proficient in utilizing advanced statistical and analytic techniques to inform development priorities.
  • Languages and Compute Frameworks: Strong coding skills in Python, SQL, and Spark. Familiarity with Ray is a plus.
  • Production ML: Experience developing data preparation, model training, and inference pipelines using cloud-managed tools like Dataproc, EMR, Airflow, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone), or equivalent.
  • ML Frameworks: Deep experience with PyTorch, XGBoost, SparkML, model registries (Hugging Face), LLM APIs, etc.
  • Theory: Understanding of the latest deep learning architectures and their applications. Familiarity with techniques like prompt engineering, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning with human feedback, model distillation, and compression.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to navigate large projects with multiple collaborators and effectively communicate with business partners and stakeholders.

The US base salary range for this position is $161,600.00 - $202,000.00 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
