About the Job

Our client is looking for a software engineer to join their Silicon Valley office. Do you enjoy learning and staying current with the latest in languages, platforms, and development environments? If so, this is a great position for you! The role involves working across a wide range of platforms and with multiple third-party tools, such as the R machine learning packages. You would primarily be coding in Java and using Python for scripting.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Java coding experience
• Exposure to modern software components and development methodologies
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python
• Experience working with shell languages such as Bash on a Linux cloud platform
• Familiarity with streaming platforms such as Spark and Storm
