About the Role: Location: Flexible - San Francisco HQ or US remote Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: The base pay for this role varies based on geographic location, ranging from $234,900 to $341,600 USD annually.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering innovation initiatives across the organization
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies
- Drive research projects to evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies
- Provide guidance and leadership to specific engineering teams
- Tackle complex problems and drive them to resolution

Qualifications:
- Passion for building web application platforms and scalable frameworks
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and other programming languages
- Hands-on experience with modern web technologies such as React, Node.js, and Tailwind.css
- Deep understanding of monorepos, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies
- Expertise in database design and optimization, particularly with NoSQL databases like mongoDB
- Strong grasp of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Extensive experience designing RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, and integrating third-party APIs
- Thorough understanding of security best practices in software development
- Well-versed in frontend and backend technologies, with a focus on crafting innovative solutions
