The team:

The Windows Agent team serves as a center of excellence with a focus on making the agent a fully supported offering on Windows. We ensure that our customers have a seamless experience with Windows infrastructure monitoring, making installation, deployment, and configuration straightforward. Our team develops native Windows integrations to monitor system, network, and security metrics, extending support to various services and technologies running on Windows. We aim to deliver comprehensive observability on Windows without the need for additional agents or libraries, supporting other teams in building reliable and performant solutions.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Windows Agent team, you will enhance the experience for users running Windows on our platform. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new features and resolving bugs in the open-source Windows Agent.
  • Designing and implementing integrations based on the Windows Agent.
  • Enhancing features to simplify installation, configuration, and management on the Windows platform.
  • Creating and maintaining Windows Agent MSI Installers.
  • Leading end-to-end development of new features, from concept to implementation.
  • Influencing product decisions and prioritizing key projects collaboratively with your team.
  • Investigating and optimizing software performance to ensure efficiency.

Who You Are:

  • You have over 5 years of experience building applications and tools, with deep knowledge of the systems you’ve worked on.
  • You possess strong experience in developing and deploying software on Windows.
  • Your expertise includes significant systems programming with the Windows API and in-depth knowledge of Windows OS internals.
  • You are proficient in one or more languages such as Golang, C/C++, or Python.
  • Experience with Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) for collecting OS and security signals.
  • Proven ability to deliver features in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, prioritizing customer needs.
  • You are motivated by solving customer problems and crafting exceptional products.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in creating Windows drivers.
  • Experience in creating MSI installers.
