The ideal candidate has experience working in a team environment, building and scaling web applications using NodeJS, VueJS, Express, and MySQL or similar technologies. They should have a proven track record of working on applications that have scaled to support a large number of users and possess the ability to deliver results quickly.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Our team is a hybrid of remote and NYC-based professionals, working closely with customers on groundbreaking products.

Senior Developer Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model within the organization, providing technical leadership and guidance.
• Generate innovative ideas, implement them, and encourage team adoption and contributions.
• Promote quality by leading refactoring efforts and reviewing all pull requests.
• Continuously learn new technologies, advocate for modern approaches, and tackle challenges head-on.
• Complete tasks and projects with thoroughness, ensuring no loose ends.
• Take clear leadership in addressing operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy web applications to AWS.
• Write technical documentation and peer-review team members' code.
• Analyze, maintain, and test applications and databases.
• Design scalable, high-performance, and secure solutions.
• Identify, triage, and resolve programming bugs.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Javascript, NodeJS, and related frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL database design.
• Experience with performance optimization, caching, and document storage using Redis/ElastiCache.
• Familiarity with CI pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure as code.
