Finance Engineering

Our company operates as a two-sided marketplace, providing services to customers and purchasing from suppliers. The Finance Engineering team ensures the integrity of financial data and transactions within the company. This team manages systems for invoicing, payments, currencies, risk management, and accounts payable workflows.

The team plays a crucial role in reducing financial leakage by accurately allocating costs. We aim to delight customers and reduce costs through automation and data accuracy improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the technical landscape of the invoicing platform, ensuring sustainable solutions.
• Design and architect data models and systems for handling currencies, revenue, and payments.
• Write and review code, setting a standard for software development.
• Resolve complex system-level issues with an emphasis on simplicity and long-term solutions.
• Onboard and mentor engineers with structured processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience architecting and building complex, enterprise-grade systems in a distributed environment.
• Previous experience as a technical lead, guiding teams through technical decisions.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
• Desire to expand technical skills, with familiarity in React, Ruby, GraphQL, and gRPC/Protobuf preferred.

This role requires attendance at the San Francisco office three days per week with flexibility for remote work two days per week.
