Do you love scripting and building automation? We are looking for a systems engineer with wide-ranging IT and Managed Service Providers (MSP) skills who wants to build out-of-the-box scripting solutions for our IT Operations suite of software. Use your IT industry and operating systems knowledge to define baseline standards for our clients that raise our product standards. The solutions you build will be used by thousands of companies, and your contributions will impact the baseline IT standards of companies around the world. You will join our Product Management team, working alongside other Software Product Engineers. Collaborating with our Senior Product Managers, Software Development Engineers, and our Support Engineers, you will work with like-minded individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional automation solutions to our clients.

Location - We are flexible on remote working from home if you are located in the USA and in one of the following states: TX, FL, CA, NC, GA, CT, ME, KS, CO, NJ, or VA. We have physical offices in Austin, TX, and Tampa, FL, if you prefer a hybrid option.

Skills and Experience We Value:

  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, C++, and Postgres.
  • Understanding of large-scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design, and client-server architecture.
  • Experience with AWS and scalable cloud services.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Product-Enhancing Scripting and Content Development: Build content for our IT operations software products in the form of scripts, monitoring conditions, and baseline standards. Create ad hoc scripts and automations for prospects and existing clients.
  • Strategic Product Research and Standardization: Research and design new IT operations standards based on best practices. Continually update our scripting database for improved IT industry standards.
  • Frontline Automation Resolutions and Client Support: Identify, implement, and fast-track one-off scripts for automation. Reactively respond to incidents or events in the IT landscape with tailored automation solutions.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience installing, maintaining, configuring, monitoring, and automating in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
  • 3+ years of experience scripting in PowerShell.
  • Technical experience across the entire IT infrastructure and managed services stack.
  • A passion for problem-solving, with an ability to deconstruct complex problems into parts and develop solutions.
  • Experience with the challenges IT teams face with security and know-how to set up secure baselines for Windows, Mac, and Linux devices.
  • Experience with source control and interacting with REST APIs.

  • Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, and PTO. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $65,000 to $100,000 per year.
