Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the development, generation, and validation of calibration and system-level testing of hardware and software.
  • Utilize real-world data to design and construct systems and software for the validation of electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring adherence to critical-to-quality specifications, functional requirements, and overall system performance.
  • Supervise the creation and validation of automated tests for new product introductions, ensuring compliance with industry-leading technology standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Electrical, Hardware, and Software teams to ensure the implementation of best practices for design for test (DFT) across existing product lines and new product introductions (NPI).
  • Provide support for existing product lines at contract manufacturers, leading and coordinating continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing downtime, enhancing productivity, and fostering a culture of improvement.
  • Assist in process qualifications and capability studies, including custom test fixture validation, Gage R&R, DOEs, FMEAs, etc.
  • Develop scripts to process test data and create metrics dashboards for analyzing continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with supply chain management to communicate testing requirements to Contract Manufacturers and sub-tier suppliers.
  • Report manufacturing key performance indicators (KPIs) to operations/engineering leaders and senior management.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Linux-based industrial systems.
  • Strong skills in programming, debugging, and testing using Python.
  • Experience in designing custom testing fixtures or selecting off-the-shelf solutions based on engineering, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electromechanical issues on a production assembly and test line.
  • Capability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Experience in an electromechanical manufacturing environment, creating test plans and procedures for complex assemblies and/or system level end-of-line testing.
  • Proficiency with source control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in product-based electromechanical assemblies in a hands-on, fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science (Masters preferred), or significant equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel regionally, with 15% domestic/international travel.
