About This Role
As a Frontend Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the founders and the engineering team to build, manage, and scale a user experience that is relied upon by tens of thousands of users daily. Your responsibilities will include developing key feature sets for the product, managing the in-house design system, and optimizing frontend code for performance and responsiveness.
You should have strong UX and UI sensibilities, capable of making thoughtful and aesthetically pleasing decisions typically made by PMs and designers. Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS is essential, along with proficiency in MobX, React, and Redux. You will be the go-to expert on frontend best practices and serve as a mentor and leader for the frontend team.
Your Responsibilities
- Build modular, reusable components and features for the web app
- Extend the product design system and enable other engineers to efficiently build well-designed features
- Integrate in-house and third-party systems via APIs
- Ensure every part of the web app is exceptionally fast
- Collaborate closely with the product team to design and develop new features
- Contribute to the early-stage team and help build a strong engineering culture
Is This You?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in modern web ecosystems
- 5+ years of professional experience with MobX, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, RESTful API, CSS, and other frontend technologies
- Proactive communication skills, both synchronous and asynchronous
- High standards for UX and UI, striving for consumer-grade quality
- A passion for writing
Preferred Skills
- Experience as a technical lead
- Familiarity with ATOMIC design approach, Storybooks
- Knowledge of NX, Github Actions, PNPM
- Experience with Jest/Vite tests and ESBuild
- Experience with Vue.js
